Our Ministry
Many of you may be interested in the process and purpose of
our ministry. Each month we prayerfully select what we believe
is an important Bible subject for our study, one for each Sunday
of the month. We focus our lessons exclusively to the teaching
of Gods Word. These lessons are then edited carefully
to be sure the correct references are used for all scripture.
The lessons are then recorded on CD for our radio broadcast.
They are placed on our web-sight, accessible in both audio and
print. You may listen or down load all of the lessons by logging
on to www.timeforthebible.org anywhere in the world.
For those who do not have access to the internet, the lessons
are available in handy booklet form or on CD. Both are available
free of charge by writing to:
"TIME FOR THE BIBLE," P.O. Box, 6197, Santa Maria,
CA 93456
Time for the Bible has only one goal - to teach Gods
word in simple, easy-to-understand language. We have no empire
to build, no doctrinal ax to grind, no theological hairs to
split, no denominational fences to build or mend, and certainly
no political fields to plow. Our desire is to preach the Word
of God, so that the unsaved may hear and be saved, and Christians
may be helped to "grow in grace and knowledge of our Lord
and Saviour, Jesus Christ.
OUR FINANCIAL POLICY:
By not making financial appeals on radio and in print, not only
are we fulfilling the Bible doctrine of Grace, we are also eliminating
the major complaint of those who strongly criticize such practice.
To use any money entrusted to us more effectively, we have eliminated
much of the expense associated with the Radio and Printed ministry.
That is the reason we have no impressive or expensive studios
or paid staff.
Every cent given to "Time for the Bible" goes one-hundred
percent to purchase radio time. And to receive the best radio
rates possible, all programs are paid for in advance. Our financial
policy is simple. When the funds are available we add radio
stations. When funds are not available we cancel stations.
No better explanation can be given to explain the financial
policy of "Time for the Bible" than is given by the
Apostle Paul in Philippians 4:17. "Not because I desire
a gift: but I desire fruit that may abound to your account."
Paul said that he "didnt desire a gift." In
the Greek dictionary, the word "desire" has one of
two meanings, "crave," or "demand." The
gift was received because he wanted it to be put to the account
of the Philippian believers, they would have treasure in Heaven.
This is the only reason you are invited to share in this ministry.
