Some Important Facts of Life "I am trying to find myself" is an expression used to justify certain actions by those who are searching for some purpose and meaning to life. One of life's greatest questions is: Why was I born? Perhaps you have asked yourself this question many times. Do you know the answer? To find a life with purpose and meaning, there are some basic facts that you must know, and there is only one source for such information - THE BIBLE. FACT NUMBER ONE: You must know that you were created by
God. So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created
he him; male and female created he them." (Genesis 1:27) FACT NUMBER TWO: You must know why you were created. "For
by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in
earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions,
or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for
him." (Colossians 1:16) FACT NUMBER THREE: The third fact you must know is what
you are. In your present state, as far as God is concerned, you are
dead. "For the love of Christ constraineth us; because we thus
judge, that if one died for all, then were all dead." (2 Corinthians
5:14) FACT NUMBER FOUR: As long as you remain "in Adam," you are dead; and as long as you are dead you cannot please God. "So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God." (Romans 8:8) FACT NUMBER FIVE: You must know and recognize the fact that before you can please God you must have life. "Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God." (John3:3) FACT NUMBER SIX: You must know that this is NEW LIFE, not the old made over. "That which is born of the flesh is flesh," and will never be anything else. Moreover, this life cannot, of yourself, produce this life. "Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us." (Titus 3:5) FACT NUMBER SEVEN: You must understand that the NEW LIFE
is a GIFT. "For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God
is eternal life through Jesus Christ or Lord." (Romans 6:23) FACT NUMBER EIGHT: The gift of life must be received.
God offers the gift, however, you must receive it. "But as many
as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even
to them that believe on his name." (John 1:12) What does it mean to receive the FREE GIFT? "That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation." (Romans 10:9-10) Your part in obtaining eternal life is to receive. To have eternal life just confess: "I know that I am a sinner, and that Christ died for my sins. I know that He rose again, and I now receive Him as my Saviour, trusting Him to forgive all my sins, and to give me eternal life, as He has promised in His Word. I Gladly confess Him as my Saviour and my Lord.
